Who is responsible for your data

Birta Coach is operated by NexoItec Studios (a sole proprietorship in Iceland). Privacy questions: support@birtacoach.com.

What data Birta holds

• Planning data you enter yourself: tasks, schedule, routines, habits, lists, focus sessions and the lights in your Jar of Light.
• Journal entries and mood check-ins you choose to write.
• Settings (theme, language, your rewards) so your experience follows you across devices.
• Your account email and sign-in details.

No ad tracking, no third-party cookies — one essential sign-in cookie only.

Location for the sun, moon and stars

With device permission, Birta uses latitude and longitude only to calculate local sunrise, sunset and the celestial experience. The coordinates are stored only on your device or in your browser; they are not sent to Birta, Supabase, AI providers or advertisers. If permission is denied, the sky uses Reykjavík as a fallback.

Your journal is private — including from AI

When Birta suggests plans, Google Gemini receives only task and planning information, never your journal. An optional setting, off by default, lets Birta look for patterns in recent journal entries. Only after your explicit consent is raw text sent once to Google Gemini for abstraction; only filtered, non-verbatim observations are stored. You can withdraw permission at any time.

Where data is stored

Your data lives in an encrypted Supabase database, used solely to run Birta for you — never sold, never used for advertising.

Payments

Web subscriptions are processed by Creem (merchant of record) and iOS purchases by Apple. Your card details go directly to them — Birta never sees or stores them. Creem's and Apple's policies govern payment data.

Your rights: export and delete

• Export all your data anytime (Settings → My data).
• Deleted items go to a 30-day trash, then disappear permanently.
• Permanently delete your account and all synchronized data in Settings → My data → Delete account. Contact support@birtacoach.com if you need help.

Changes

Material changes will be published here with a new effective date.
